This is one of those restaurants where it really depends on what you order! But if you order correctly you will get something amazing and flavorful! We absolutely love their orange beef (it's seriously the best you'll find within 30 miles), the whole fried snapper (the fish is lightly breaded and it's in a light ginger sauce with fresh veggies and pineapple) and the moo shoo veggie (so flavorful and a great compliment to the other two dishes. Also; if "moo shoo" is misspelled I apologize)! Try these and you won't be disappointed! We also get the crab rangoons (nothing special--just your basic but they're still tasty and crunchy!)

So much amazing food here. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Beautiful decor. I dream of my return trip here. I love the sesame chicken, the vegetable wonton soup and the pork ribs appetizer.

Chinese food in a sit down environment other than a buffet is not an easy find in this part of Florida well look no further this is the place. Stopped in for a late lunch greeted as we walked in and was seated immediately Tom our server our excellent server came and took our drink orders and then gave us a few minutes to make our lunch decisions he did a great job. The place was super clean and neat the decor is very nice and the place was very comfortable. Now on to the food - - Crispy Wonton with mustard and sweet and sour (on the house nice touch) - Wonton Soup - Excellent broth was almost clear nice flavor great wontons - Pork Egg Rolls - Excellent ( not to greasy nice change) - Five Flavor Beef - Very Very nice the veggies are shoe string cut crunchy fresh excellent sauce lean beef perfectly done I ordered extra extra hot it wasn't that hot so without asking Tom brought me a bowl of hot chili oil that made this a great entree. - Hunan Chicken - Awesome this was well put together nice sauce - Fried Rice - I just loved it - Spring Rolls - too many veggies for me but my dinner partner loved them Okay why only 4 stars right? I'm a tough critic it's hard for me to give 5 stars but I certain will come back again and will rethink it I don't know what they could do any better. This was a great experience give them a shot and the prices are more than fair without a tip this full lunch for two was $22.00

I love their chicken feet, house duck and beef tripe!!! Restaurant is clean, fast service and short wait time for orders

Very nice Asian sit-down, food was not over-cooked, everything was quite acceptable, we would return if we were local.

one of the legit places that you can eat quite authentic chinese food. Ask for chinese menu in particular to get better food (they have 2 menus). Price is good and the service is pretty decent too.

Service was rushed. Chicken pad Thai was the absolute worst I've ever had. Absolutely no flavor whatsoever, the chicken quality was awful and full of butter. My husband ordered the sesame chicken and wasn't happy with his plate either. I would not recommend this place to others

If you've ever wanted to pay restaurant prices for the same Chinese food you could have delivered to your door then this is the place for you. The fried rice is bland, the spring rolls are frozen, and the Thai Iced Tea tastes like hot garbage. The best thing about this place is the decorations. I do not recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Chinese food.

My friend and I came here today for the first time. We both got the Lo Mein Lunch Combo which comes with soup, rice, and a springroll. The service was so slow -especially since there was only two other tables seated. The server did not bring out my friends soup and neither of us got our rice! Horrible!! The food was mediocre at best! Not worth the money!

The place looks great inside. The food could be improved. I realize the crowd can be tough, old retired people. If the quality of the food matched the decor it would be 5 stars.

I appreciate the concept of the restaurant and the great location. The prices are very decent and the menu has a great variety. There is definitely something for everyone. The egg drop soup was really good and tasted freshly prepared. Unfortunately, the hot and sour soup did not taste freshly prepared. I didn't particularly enjoy it. The dumplings that we ordered were not that fresh or warm either. They were lukewarm, old tasting and chewy. When I asked for a refill on water, it was refilled to the halfway point of the glass. That was just comical. I had never seen a server do that before. It was just an odd thing to do. Our dishes were underwhelming. I really didn't experience anything that would make me want to return.

I was pleased with the freshness and taste of food. Portions are small and the price is more than expected. This is the closest to authentic I have had yet since being in FL for over 20 years.
(4)Valerie H.
I wouldn't go here expecting anything amazing. The prices are decent but the food was just not that great.
(3)Pedro M.
Food was good. However the attitude of the staff is the worst. Not going again.

The restaurant has changed operators and they are more into Cantonese dishes now. There are still some Sichuan dishes on the menu.

Just walked out leaving two dollars to cover a beverage, that was barely sipped, because after bringing our drinks our server apparently forgot we were there. Waited about 15 mins for her to come back and take our order before we gave up and left. No excuse for this type of service.

Love the steamed chicken with brown rice. Our usual stop when visiting the pavilion.

Chronic new-eatery-frequenter, particularly when out-of-state family is visiting and and wants to check out something different. We headed to Asian Sauce Box in lieu of Leanh's (visiting Dad's absolute favorite). We were pleasantly surprised at the interior (sort of a surprise, given the outside look), the incredibly friendly and attentive staff, and reasonable prices. After sharing the macadamia nut prawn appetizer (really freakin' good), dad got the Lamb Hot Pot (including eggplant, zuchinni, onions, etc). I don't love lamb, but dad was absolutely raving about his Hot Pot - "tender", "perfect", "not fatty", "we're coming back again this week before I fly home, so I can get this again". I suppose that dish is a winner, LOL! As for me, I was more than happy with my dish - Pork with leeks (#3 under the "Pork" section of the menu) with brown rice on the side. All in all, my entire meal was fantastic and my dad was absolutely raving about his meal the entire time we were there. Couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by something that we thought was going to be "okay" but ended up being really, really great.

Looking for something new & different tonite. Found this place tucked away in the pavilion so we stopped in. I love the name, my mind keeps picturing a cute petite dirty Asian hooker with a huge smile lol. Walked in, place is clean, trendy & staff is friendly. Our waitress "Ping" was very knowledgable & extra helpful in explaining just what was in each vegetarian dish as my BF is strict vegan. The wasabi dip was perfect. The tomato potato soup was freakin awesome & was recommended by "Ping". The vegetable rolls were average. Everything came to the table steaming & had to cool a bit before eating. I ordered the House Special Tofu which was absolutely mouth watering. My BF ordered the Tofu Vegetable Sha Guo which turned out to be packed with tofu & more of a soup than he cared for. It was bland even for his taste. I took his word & didn't try it. Didn't wanna ruin my meal experience or 1st impression of the place. At the end of the meal, "Ping" brings fortune cookies & orange slices which were a welcome & refreshing change from traditional breath mints. A first class dining experience for me. Not as much for my BF I think. I will definitely return for more.

A little pricey, but good quality food that is delivered!

Food is ok. It seemed better before. Attitude about extra rice was a bummer. I hate it when Asian restaurants charge extra for rice for eat-in diners. It's rice, not f@&$! gold.

1st time eating at this restaurant. We were sat immediately by our friendly waitress. We waited 45 minutes before asking for the manager, who is EXTREMELY rude. I explained our concern of waiting 45 minutes for 2 entrees and he replied with "you have not been waiting for 45 minutes, it's been more like 30 and we are slammed tonight". He then asked (literally & bluntly) "what do you want me to do". He stated it would be another 10-15 minutes. I expressed that I did not want to wait another 10-15 minutes. He then walked away from the table and came back with our food. The food was good! Unfortunately, his attitude as a manager ruined the experience.

My friend was really excited to go to this place so we and another friend gave it a shot. The waitress was really nice and was very accommodating to my picky eating friend. He had ordered the chicken without sauce which left it tasting less than stellar, and to me, possibly the worst chicken I have ever savored.... Of course, it did not have the recommended sauce. He ended up ordering another plate while they boxed his first order that went directly in the garbage after we left. My other friend said her plate was ok, and mine was not what I really expected. The lamb stew was far more complicated than the menu explained, having mayor ingredients not mentioned in the menu like broccoli and other items i could not recognize. Perhaps our pallets are not refined enough for this little restaurant. i am generally adventurous with food but I feel like a failed myself with this one. I am not the biggest fan of vegetables so next time I will be a little more weary, specially when any vegetables are mentioned at all.

This ist he best place to find fresh Chinese food. The decor is also very pleasing. The best item on the menu are the "hot pots." They also have jasmine, oolong, and green tea. The oolong mixed with jasmine is my personal favorite.

We dined here twice already, and it both times, we were happy on what we got. It is the best Chinese resto in the area, including Ormond Beach and Daytona Beach.
(5)Kenneth R.
I've eaten at Asian Sauce Box twice now and both times was pleasantly surprised, as was my Chinese wife. Restaurants in the Daytona Beach area in general are pretty pedestrian, and there are NO decent ethnic restaurants of any kind in the area, unless you're fine with the typical greasy fast food takeout that uses MSG to create flavor instead of actual food. Being the second poorest county in Florida, Volusia has more than the usual share of fixed and low income people in a tourism economy, and the restaurants generally reflect that with lots of low priced, low quality fair. Not so with ASB, their food is fresh, tasty, and not loaded with MSG or salt. You won't leave feeling tired or bloated, but portions are good so you will leave full. For vegetarians in the area this place is a godsend, with a lot of vegan offerings including vegan hot and sour soup. They have Thai and other Asian dishes besides Chinese. I've had the drunken noodles, triple green vegetables, vegetable rolls, creamy potato soup with tomato (no dairy or meat), veggie udon (Japanese noodle) soup, and all were excellent. I also had the tofu vegetable sha guo and found it a bit bland, but I imagine the meat versions are probably much tastier. They told me they can make vegetarian versions of many of their dishes. The interior looks professionally decorated and is clean, and the toilets are clean. They have a decent-sized bar with decent offerings, although I don't drink alcohol. They also have Saratoga bottled spring water, flat or bubbly, which I love since I don't drink tap water or Coke/Pepsi products. The restaurant is right across from the Port Orange Pavilion movie theater, which make it nice for dinner and a movie. All the other restaurants in the shopping center are burger/pizza/steak joints so for vegetarians especially, this place is a breath of fresh air, but there's plenty on their menu for meat eaters too.

Ok this place is really great, only place in town with Peking duck! To start, the atmosphere is nice and quiet! Not many people when I usually come but I come early so I don't know how the dinner rush is. Pretty pretty place The service is very friendly, but only come around when there delivering you something, would be nice to ask if you need anything. Well nobody's perfect haha And now the best part, the food! The only thing I order here is the Peking duck and it is... DELICIOUS. The Peking duck up in Virginia is alot better but this is definitely the best in florida! I'd say the food is good, but I'm not one to talk because I've only had a few things on the menu. I would definitely keep eating the duck there

Really liked the hot pot with chicken and yams. The service was prompt and I really liked the ambience. I will return soon. The menu selections are numerous.

We ate there last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had sesame beef which was delicious. I can't remember the name of the entree my sister ordered but it had shrimp, chicken, veggies, crispy noodles that softened in brown sauce. Very tasty!! We're new here and have been looking for a great Asian restaurant. We found it. Prices were reasonable. Quiet atmosphere. Very nice food presentation. Attentive staff. Clean.

The decor is really nice. The dining room was very clean and comfortable. However there were a few things that made my first visit here not a great one. I ordered the pork with garlic sauce, which did not taste like it had a drop of garlic in it. The menu also failed to mention that it came mixed in a ton of veggies that I did not care for. I am also pretty sure that what they were claiming to be pork was not pork. It tasted and had the texture of soggy or mushy grilled chicken. It was a very poorly executed dish. I asked to have it swapped out for the chicken fried rice which I will admit was very good. It wasn't that yellow rice that Chinese places in Jax seem to love using either. It was authentic and delicious. The wanton soup was very flavorful as well. I also tried the Honey chicken which was the same as anywhere else to be honest. Nothing special. Prices are a little high in my opinion because this place seems to try to come across as an "upscale Chinese restaurant" but I have had better food at less fancier Chinese spots for less money.

Used to very good. Tonight the noodles tasted rancid and duck over noodles was 99% very starchy noodles with barely a hint of duck. Off my list.
